The Monon Trail and Eagle Creek Park are only a fraction of Indianapolis’ 211 parks and 63 miles of greenways. Tune in as Jenny Cash, VP of Development and Public Relations for the Indianapolis Parks Foundation, shares her story and the extensive work completed behind the scenes for Indy’s parks. Like a true Hoosier, the professional cowbell player grew up in Evansville, Indiana and attended Indiana University. After a life-changing internship with the American Jr. Golf Association, Jenny graduated right before the Great Recession. Amidst searching for a job, she interviewed with the Indianapolis Indians. Although Jenny didn't get the job, the Indians' General Manager referenced her to a marketing position at Indianapolis Parks Foundation and she has worked there ever since. Take a walk to your closest park as we learn about the importance of green spaces in a city, how urban areas can best utilize green spaces, and why the Indianapolis Parks Foundation exists. Drink deep of the culture that surrounds you this week with Jenny Cash from the Indianapolis Parks Foundation.
